The Freshman Retreat

An event for incoming Honors Freshmen (both residents and commuters), the Honors Freshman Retreat is coordinated with residence hall move-in and other events of NJIT's orientation.  Events include various kinds of social and competitive games, group contests, and recreational time. 

Retreat 2017

This year's Freshman Retreat will be held on Thursday, August 31st. All incoming first-year Honors students who plan to live on campus in Fall 2016 will have the option to move into the Honors residence hall the day before the retreat (Wednesday, August 30th). Additional information regarding the retreat and early move-in day is available by clicking here​.  A brief schedule of events for August 30 and 31, as well as important information about the Retreat, is provided below.

Wednesday, August 30, 2017
10 AM - 1 PM Honors First-Year residents move in
1 PM - 4 PM Get settled, explore the campus, and have lunch on your own
4 PM - 7 PM Counselor meet and greet!  Come meet your retreat counselors and gather for dinner and activities (Honors Hall, 2nd Floor)

7:45 AM - 8 AM Honors first-year commuters and residents arrive (Meet behind Honors Hall - Warren Street Village Green)
8:15 AM Board busses to depart for day camp
9:30 AM - 4 PM Day Camp Activities (includes breakfast and lunch)
5 PM Arrive back on campus
5:30 PM - 7 PM Pizza party (Meet behind Honors Hall - Warren Street Village Green)
