Honors First Year Retreat

The Honors First-Year Retreat is an event for the incoming Dorman Scholars to get to know each other and familiarize themselves with the city of Newark. Scholars are broken into several groups, two counselors are assigned to each group, and then they proceed to explore Newark’s rich cultural history by walking through different neighborhoods and learning about their new community beyond the confines of NJIT's campus.

Events include various kinds of social and competitive games, group contests, and recreational time.
