“The most important thing I learned from HSRI is how to convey my research to others. While completing research is great, not being able to effectively communicate your work to others prevents it from being used. During the program, we as a group practiced through many rounds of presentations to see both what works and what doesn’t work, all while improving our own presentations. After HSRI, I could confidently explain my research to someone completely unfamiliar with my work.
