“I’ve always had a passion for research, but HSRI helped expand my horizons to abilities I didn’t even know I had. Having the opportunity to collaborate with peers and listen to others’ research on topics ranging from architecture and forensics, to biology and history allowed me to gain knowledge and perspectives outside of my own research in Dermatology. I also really enjoyed having the opportunity to present my scientific work and ideas as well as devote a large amount of time towards learning new skills in my lab such as working with mouse models and analyzing tissue samples using immunohistochemistry. Overall, being a part of HSRI has been one of my most memorable experiences in college so far, as I learned a lot from it and can’t wait to see how much more I will have the privilege of learning in the future..” - Priya Marella
