For your convenience you can make your gift on-line here See Updates From Your Fellow AlumsNJIT gave me the critical thinking and problem solving skills bundled with an excellent education to be able to be the person I am today. I am part of a successful group practice in which I treat patients and perform cosmetic facial surgery, facial reconstructive surgery. I am fortunate to have been able to go on multiple medical missions overseas to provide cleft lip and palate surgery to those in need. I had connected with many great people during my 2 years at the Dorman Honors College, many with whom I still keep in contact and see frequently. I have applied what I learned during my finance and accounting classes to great effect in having an independent options trading business. The Honors College was extremely effective in helping me approach this highly competitive industry from a fresh and original standpoint, which has given me a great advantage. I am proud to be a member of the Dorman Honors College Board of Visitors. My continued relationship with NJIT is an important part of my career and personal life. After working for a little over a year, I was able to complete my first project - a $70 million new condominium building. Now I am starting my second project, this time a renovation of a landmark building on Wall Street. My experience with Gilbane has been wonderful, giving me great opportunities like chatting with the company, going to industry networking events, and attending conferences. My greatest accomplishment outside of work is being asked to be the keynote speaker at First Year Connections Freshmen Orientation - my first major public speaking experience!. Serial entrepreneur including BeerRightNow.com - the brand name in same day liquor, wine & beer delivery in NYC, Northern NJ, Philly, DC, Austin, Chicago and LA! I love the Honors College!!!! The education I received at NJIT ... allowed me to focus on emergency medicine, which is not that lucrative but I love it. To jump out of bed every morning and love going to my job, that is amazing. And I owe it all to NJIT.. |
